Ph.D. candidate in pollination ecology, agroecology, and on-farm conservation

Hi, I'm Lexi!

I'm in the fourth year of my Ph.D. at the University of Kentucky Department of Entomology, studying with the Gonthier lab.

My research focuses on bumble bee colony-level health, conservation, and pollination service delivery in cucurbit agroecosystems. I'm passionate about sharing my knowledge with farmers and land managers, and developing future agroecologists. After my Ph.D., I hope to build a career in research and outreach as an extension research professor.

I grew up on a family farm outside of Cincinnati, OH, which sparked my love of nature and farming.

I'm digging up my front lawn to plant native perennials, flowers, and vegetables to share with my neighbors.

In my free time, I like to cook and bake, spend time with my dog Tadpole, and make art inspired by nature.
